I’ve been scanning some of my encaustic paintings for gallery/show submissions. Recently, I had some other work accepted for a gallery show in Provincetown this June.
The nebulous piece was actually painted on the day I was diagnosed. Guess it reflected my state of mind… I showed that one in the ROCO member show last year.
If you’re unfamiliar with encaustic, it’s a beautifully tactile form of painting that uses beeswax as the medium with various pigments. The paint is worked in a melted state and can create amazing texture.
